We've already seen some great music videos coming out since the turn of 2012. Some of our favourite musicians and artists have already given us some smash hits, and 2012 is sure to bring many more. But while we are looking forward to the new and wonderful additions to the music video world, we don't want to forget to mention our favourites of the last year. So without further ado, here are the most memorable music videos of 2011.
Adele was one of the biggest stars of 2011, with music that many have come to love. She's also got some great music videos which complimented her music. One of the best we saw was the music video for Rolling in the Deep. It featured great cinematography, incredible scenery and sets, and of course the hit song. Adele is a favourite of the year for more reasons than one, and her music videos make her even more exciting.
Weird Al also came out with a music video in 2011, a parody of Lady Gaga's Born this Way. Perform This Way, as it was called, actually drew some controversy, as it seems that Lady Gaga was reluctant to let him parody her music. Whatever happened, we ended up with a hilarious video of Weird Al in a variety of hideous costumes singing about weirdness in general.
And speaking of Lady Gaga, she came out with a gem of her own. Her song and accompanying video You and I was released in mid-2011. If nothing else, it was certainly bizarre enough for us to remember. The catchy tune was one that stuck in our heads, for sure, and the video features Lady Gaga's transformation into a mermaid.
2011 saw music videos of all sorts, and we can only wait with anticipation for what all our favourite musicians will bring us this year.
